Occurrence Reporting in Aviation

Introduction

The 2-day Occurrence Reporting training course will provide tools that ensure the effectiveness of reporting, leading to a reduction in workload for different departments/stakeholders and enhancement of safety.

In the dynamic world of aviation, the accurate reporting of occurrences is crucial for enhancing safety, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of transparency. This course is designed to provide aviation professionals with essential knowledge and skills related to the regulatory occurrence reporting process, ensuring that participants are equipped to effectively identify, analyze, and report incidents.

The course will delve into the fundamental principles of occurrence reporting i.e. regulation EU 376/2014, EU 2015/1018, AMC 20-8A, EU 2020-2034 and related documentation, explore relevant guidelines, and engage in practical exercises.

A pre-requisite for attendance in this course is that the participant has familiarization with aviation regulations related to processes subject to occurrence reporting.

Collect and Exchange Occurrence Reporting Information:

  • Efficiently collect and document occurrence reporting information on potential or actual safety hazards.
  • Accurately transmit collected information to the relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Distinguish Between Essential and Non-Essential Reporting Information:

  • Identify and separate necessary information from unnecessary details in occurrence reports.
  • Implement strategies to streamline the reporting process and enhance system efficiency.

Complete Safety-Related Deficiency Reports Accurately:

Pre-requisites

Essential:

A basic understanding of the subjects addressed in the training course is recommended but not required.
