The (EU) 2018/1139 of the EU Parliament and Council, on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Union Aviation Safety Agency contain amongst others specific requirements addressing the subject of standardization within the EU Member States.
In order to fulfil these requirements the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No 628/2013 on 28 June 2013 on working methods of the European Aviation Safety Agency for conducting standardisation inspections and for monitoring the application of the rules of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139.
The European Commission has also issued implemented Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012 of 3 August 2012 laying down implementing rules for the airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organizations.
This training course has been developed for National Aviation Authorities’ Inspectors to become knowledgeable and capable to fulfill the obligations of standardization per (EU) No 628/2013 and the certification of production organizations per (EU) No 748/2012.
Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, the Chapters and specific Articles addressing Standardization will be addressed in this training course.

Throughout the training course, practical examples shall be provided in particular related to Subpart F and Subpart G, e.g. issuance of Letter of Agreements & POA approvals, template for an Exposition, responsibilities of the Intermediate PO regarding the transfer to the subcontractor of approved design data, non-conformities and last but not least clarification of Level 1 & Level 2 findings.
By the end of the training course, the attendees shall be knowledgeable about how to process production applications under Subpart F, respectively Subpart G and how to manage and perform the continued surveillance of these organizations.
