The aim of the NAA Inspectors - Flight Operations Inspector Initial course is to equip new and prospective National Aviation Authority (NAA) inspectors with the knowledge and skills required to oversee and regulate air operations effectively.
The NAA Inspectors - Flight Operations Inspector Initial course offered by JAA TO is designed for new or prospective National Aviation Authorities (NAA) inspectors and Flight Operations Inspectors (FOI). It focuses on providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the European and international aviation regulatory framework, including the roles of EU, EASA, ICAO and the Chicago Convention. The curriculum covers essential regulations like Basic Regulation, EU Regulation Air Operations and EU No 628/2013, as well as practical topics like safety risk management, audit performance, and the certification of air operators.

Prospective or new FOIs and NAA Inspectors, other NAA staff and NAA Managers involved in inspection activities of aeroplane or helicopter operations.
Professional background in flight operations, cabin operations or maintenance is highly desirable. Management and/or training experience in aviation is advantageous.
Important note:
Attendees are requested to bring their laptop to the course to access course material which will only be provided in electronic format, as well as to be familiarized with the navigation through the Basic Regulation and Air Operations (Regulation (EU) No 965/2012) Easy Access Rules.
Further it is recommended—but not required—to have a second device available —such as an additional laptop, tablet, phone, computer, monitor, etc. in order to view the course manual and/or exercise documents.
