Introduction

The Validating Competency-based Training (VCT) course provides Instructional Systems Design (ISD) validators with the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes to conduct validation of competency-based training courses in accordance with the ICAO Doc 9941, Training Development Guide (TDG).

• Primary target audience: Senior course developers in all training centres.
• Secondary target audience: Personnel in civil aviation authorities of States, responsible for managing and approving competency-based training.

Pre-requisites

Essential:

Participants should have:

• Completed ICAO Training Developers Course (TDC);
• Developed at least one Standardized Training Package (STP) and obtained the ICAO Qualified Course Developer (IQCD) certificate.
• Computer skills using contemporary software programmes.
• Good oral and written command of the English language.
