This is module 2 of a 2-day virtual training workshop designed for Competent Authority personnel to highlight the complexities and challenges of effectively managing the processes of Certification, Oversight & Enforcement during the COVID-19 pandemic as Operators and Organisations maintain restricted operations or move towards a resumption of normal operations. This virtual workshop will provide the delegate with skills set to face these regulatory challenges and develop effective solutions in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices in addition to European (EASA) Regulatory requirements.

On completion of these virtual course modules, the delegate will have attained the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes to allow them to understand and competently manage the topics as described in the previous paragraph.

Competent Authority Inspectors (qualified or in training) responsible for the oversight of Air Operators (AOC, NCC, SPO), Training Organisations (ATO/DTO) and Airworthiness Organisations (Part M/145).
Knowledge of the relevant ICAO Annexes specific to the delegates area of oversight, e.g. Annex 1, Personnel Licensing; Annex 6 - Operation of Aircraft; Annex 8 - Airworthiness of Aircraft.
In addition, familiarity with the ICAO Annex 19 - SMS, the ICAO Oversight Manual - Document 9734 and the ICAO Safety Management Manual - 9859 would be beneficial.
Also, as applicable to the delegates responsibility, familiarity with the European Union regulations pertaining to Aircrew (1178/2011), Air Operations (965/2012) or Airworthiness (1321/2014) as applicable, is required.
