EASA Aircrew Licensing Training Course (EU) 1178/2011 and Amending Regulations

Introduction

The EASA Aircrew Licensing Training Course (EU 1178/2011 and Amending Regulations) familiarizes participants with the key requirements of EC Regulation 1178/2011 for aircrew licensing. The course covers the regulation’s structure, related EASA guidance materials, and offers practical exercises. Participants will develop the knowledge needed to ensure compliance with aircrew licensing regulations and prepare for regulatory audits. The course is ideal for staff from Approved Training Organizations (ATOs), air operators, and national aviation authorities.

The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with the requirements of the EC Regulation Aircrew (1178/2011). 

Course Content

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify the relevant parts of the regulation pertaining to their specific roles within their organisations;
  • Reconcile the EC Regulation with the relevant parts of the EASA published AMC & GM; and
  • Prepare for a regulatory oversight visit to their organisation with the confidence developed from increased knowledge of the regulation.

Pre-requisites

Essential:

A basic understanding of the subjects addressed in the training course is recommended but not required.

Participants are kindly requested to bring a laptop to the course to access training course material which will only be provided in electronic format.

Training course delivery will be in the English Language.
