In accordance with JAR-FCL 1.425 paragraph (c) and AMC FCL 1.425, it is the responsibility of the NAA to ensure that all flight examiners are standardised.
The JAA Training Organisation provides this course to assist Member State Authorities that may not have the resources to provide such a course.
Note:
The course is not a stand alone course to qualify a pilot to be a flight examiner, the applicant would also have to subsequently complete the flight and or simulator part of an approved course.

On completion of the course, examiners should have a full knowledge of the respective JAR-FCL examining requirements and guidance material and to be able to apply a standardised approach to the task of flight examining across all States that have adopted JAR-FCL standards.
