European Commercial Air Transport (CAT) operators have since 1998 generally been regulated through national implementation of JAR-OPS 1 (Different Amendments applied).
Operators holding an AOC from an EU Member State will need to update their current Operations Manual and other operational documentation material, following the adoption and implementation of revised Regulation 3922/91 as Regulation 1899/2006 and Regulation 1900/2006, later revised by Regulation 8/2008 of 11 December 2007 to be compliant with Annex III (EU) OPS 1 as of 16 July 2008, when OPS 1 becomes directly applicable law in all Member States.
The JAR-OPS 1/ (EU) OPS 1 Difference course is created to facilitate the required process of making necessary update of Operations Manual (OM) including training programmes. Participants are being equipped with detailed training material covering required actions and information to be compliant with latest edition of (EU) OPS 1.
It should be noted that necessary changes to OM, including changes in crew training programme, must be forwarded to national CAA for approval/acceptance and/or permission before applying the revised requirements of (EU) OPS 1.
Final implementation date is 16 July 2008!
After completion of this course you will have acquired information necessary to amend your company OM to the standard required by (EU) OPS 1, before forwarding it to your national CAA for approval/acceptance and/or permission in due time before final implementation date of 16 July 2008.
CAA inspectors participating in this course will benefit from the detailed training material defining necessary actions by an EU CAT operator to become compliant with requirements of OPS 1.
