EU-OPS/EASA-OPS Difference Course for (Commercial Air Transport) CAT Operators

Introduction

(Note: the following related OPS courses are also available:

 

A 1-day training course focusing on the most important differences between the current EU OPS 1 and the new OPS regulation (EC) 965/2012, (“EASA OPS”) including the related Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM). The new rule structure and the move from Quality System to Management System (SMS) are the major changes but there are several other changes, which require special attention. This course is especially targeting staff from existing AOC holders and OPS Inspectors to assist them in preparing for changes that the new regulations will require.

 

Course Content

To give knowledge and information about

  • the structure of the new OPS regulations and status and use of AMC and GM,
  • the key changes between EU OPS 1 and the new EASA OPS, and
  • preparation for getting or issuing AOCs in accordance with the new regulations.

Who should take this course

Nominated Postholders and Quality staff from current AOC holders as well as other management personnel from existing operators. The course is also intended for Flight Operations Inspectors from NAAs and external auditors.

The details of the course are more focused on aeroplanes but the main contents, i.e. the rule structures, the authority requirements and the organization requirements are equally valid for helicopters.

 

Pre-requisites

Essential:

Practical knowledge of EU OPS from working within an AOC holder or an NAA.
