STAMINA Human Factors Maintenance Training Course

Introduction

The JAA Maintenance Human Factors training course is based on the STAMINA training. STAMINA was developed by an international consortium supported by the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme. The original STAMINA material has recently been updated, incorporating the results of recent research projects (ADAMS2 and STAMP) and the experiences gained in the delivery of many STAMINA training courses.

The JAA Human Factors training course comprises a highly interactive learning methodology, with videos, games, exercises, group discussions and presentations, going beyond imparting knowledge. Awareness is created, competences are addressed and impulses are given for a change in attitude and improvement of the organisation. The course starts with a production game.

Experiences from the production game, scenes from a video developed especially for STAMINA and personal experiences of the trainees are utilized throughout the course as examples and starting points for discussion.
This course not only meets the requirements in Part 66 and Part-145 but goes beyond simple compliance. Dealing with human factors issues requires more than just training of technicians. Successful implementation will only be achieved by means of a comprehensive approach within the whole organisation and a permanent focus on a just, responsible and professional company culture.

Trainees receive a comprehensive syllabus which includes hand outs of the presentations and additional human factors materials for further study or reference.
