System safety assessments have become one of the most essential and pro-active tools available in a Safety Management System. Such safety assessments enable service provider organisations to demonstrate that an acceptable level of safety will be achieved and to provide assurance that this level of safety is reached and maintained until the decommissioning of the system.
After completing the course, participants will have an appreciation of the principal stages undertaken during a safety assessment and of the relationship between safety assessment processes and a Safety Management System.

This course is designed for personnel working in any aspect of ATM who need an introduction to safety assessment processes. It may also be of interest to those working in ATM regulation who are involved in assessing safety cases and safety arguments.
