EASA Airworthiness Review Process (Part-M/CAMO/CAO)

This course covers Part-M, the relation of Part-M toward Part-CAMO/CAO-CAM, the responsibilities of a Part-CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation), Part-CAO-CAM (Combined Airworthiness Organisations – Continuing Airworthiness Management (as privilege)) with regard to the organisation, the content of the Continued Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) or CAE (Combined Airworthiness Exposition (focus on CAM), typical staff arrangements and qualifications, compliance system (for CAMO), quality system (for CAO), Airworthiness Review Certificate, nominated staff and the practical application of Continuing Airworthiness task, and details of the Airworthiness Review process.

It will address the Airworthiness Review process in-depth, with the main focus on Part-M, Part-CAMO, and where applicable, on Part-CAO as well. The training covers EU 1321/2014 Annex-I, Annex-Vc and (if applicable) -Vd latest status.

This course is also designed for Compliance Engineers, Compliance Monitoring staff, Safety Management staff, Airworthiness Review Staff, CAMs, Licensed Engineers and Regulatory Staff and will help them understand the Part-M regulations relating to Part-CAMO, Part-CAO and ARCs (as stated in part-M Subpart-I). It looks in detail at required procedures, responsibilities and tasks.

The course content has been specially designed to include numerous examples which will give participants a practical perspective on how to apply the knowledge they gain. The training includes mini workshops that help attendants learn to understand and apply the regulations successfully.

At the end of the training course, participants should have acquired the knowledge and understanding to:

• Describe the responsibility of operators and aircraft owners with respect to continuing airworthiness and maintenance.
• Describe the different Certificate of Release to Services (CRS) that can play a role during an Airworthiness Review performed by a CAMO or CAO-CAM.
• Follow up on the requirements for CAMO’s and CAO’s with respect to continuing Airworthiness Management.
• Differentiate between the roles and responsibilities established related to the Airworthiness Review Process.
• Develop processes and procedures for an Airworthiness review process within a Part-CAMO/PART-CAO organisation.
• Describe the Airworthiness Review process in both CAMO’s and CAO’s with respect to Part-M.

The course content has been specially designed to include numerous examples which will give participants a practical perspective on how to apply the knowledge they gain

• It is assumed that attendees will have a general understanding of EU 1321/2014.
• Participants are kindly requested to bring a laptop to the course to access training course material which will only be provided in electronic format.
• Training course delivery will be provided in the English Language. An operational proficiency level in the English language Level 4 is highly recommended.
