Flight Operations Inspector Training Course

Our Flight Operations Inspectors (FOI) training course has been replaced by the NAA Inspectors Training Course - Flight Operations Inspector.

The Flight Operations Inspectors (FOI) training course is designed to provide training of freshly employed FOIs to ensure standardization in execution of oversight responsibilities in accordance with ICAO and European/national standards.

The course content includes the issuing of an Air Operators Certificate and procedures for continuing safety oversight of commercial and non-commercial organizations including ramp, flight and facility inspections.
It also covers the structure of ICAO and EASA together with the documentation issued by them including the ICAO Convention, Annexes and Documents, EU Regulations and Directives as well as EU-OPS/JARS and other Implementing Rules. The FOI will be given examples of oversight techniques, auditing procedures and the design and implementation of Quality Systems and Safety Management Systems/ State Safety Programs.

Participants with previous aviation experience from an operational environment and/or an appropriate aviation degree will benefit the most from this course.

Other aviation personnel with special interests in the communication and dialog between the aviation industry and the Civil Aviation Authorities may benefit as well.

Further upgrade to specialist level may be attained by attending Special Approvals and ETOPS Approval training courses.

The necessary On-The–Job (OJT) training in local office procedures and on-site inspections are to be arranged via Inspector's own CAA.

To understand the basic requirements of AOC safety oversight and provide a platform for further study.

Training and/or management experience in aviation would be an advantage.
