Dangerous Goods Regulations Category 6

Introduction

The Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Category 6 Training Course has been developed according to the competency-based training and assessment methodology and has a modular design.


Knowledge transfer takes place through presentations, demonstration, interactive elements, group discussions and individual and group assignments and exercises.

This course is approved by the Dutch Minister van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat and prepare participants for the official exams. No IATA certification.

Notes:

  • This course remains valid until 1 July for Dutch examinations and certificates.
  • This course is equivalent to the training course 'Opleiding Gevaarlijke Stoffen (DGR) - CAT6', but will delivered in the English Language.

Course Content

After successfully completing the DGR Category 6 Training Course participants will have the knowledge skills and attitude to prepare, process and accept Consignments of Dangerous Goods to be transported by air in accordance with Annex 18 of the ICAO Technical Instructions and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Exam and certificate

After completing the training course and successfully completing the exam or mastery test, the participant will receive an ECAC/JAA TO Certificate of Accomplishment with a reference to the applicable regulations and category.

Dutch certification

  • For participants seeking for a certification by the Dutch Authorities for the shipment and/or acceptance of Dangerous Goods, JAA TO provides the possibility to sign up the participants for the Dutch examination (A, B, C, or E) upon the successful completion of which, participants will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
  • The Dutch examination consists of maximum 11 open and multiple-choice questions.
  • Passing score is 70% for examinations A, B, C and 90 % for examinations in the E category.
  • Duration of the examination modules 1-11 is 2:30 hrs.

Who should take this course

Professional personnel working in the field of transport of Dangerous Goods by air preparing, processing, and accepting Dangerous Goods Consignments in accordance with the the Dutch requirements as defined by the Minister van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat the training requirements of the ICAO Technical Regulations and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Edition.

Pre-requisites

Essential:

Prerequisite for participating in the DGR Category 6 Training Course is the ability to master the English language at the ICAO level 4 proficiency level.
