Implementing Evidence-Based Training (EBT) - CLOSED Oct 2024

Introduction

This workshop covers the processes needed to introduce EBT concepts into an airline’s training programme. Delegates will be taught how to develop and implement the building blocks of EBT. The course also looks at EBT from the perspective of the NAA seeking to understand how to exercise oversight of the process. At the end of the course delegates should be able to plan for the implementation of EBT in their operation.

The course includes practical exercises in the use of observational markers systems and grade scales. Delegates will be provided with template documents for use in project management and safety risk assessment.

This workshop will show you how to:

  • Understand the difference between instructional systems design and a competency model!
  • Develop behavioral markers.
  • Develop a grading system.
  • Undertake assessor standardisation
  • Developing and standardize high-performing training captains.
  • Control safety risk
  • Create reliable system performance measures.
  • Integrate LOSA, SMS and flight data to identify operational risk.
  • Examine the implications of EBT for CRM training.
