Nominated Postholder (JAR-OPS 3) Flight Operations (H) Training Course

Introduction

During the ongoing transition from EU and JAR OPS to the new EC Regulations, the JAA TO is in the process of developing and launching new seminars and workshops to replace the current Accountable Manager (AM) seminar and Nominated Postholder (NP) workshops. The new courses will be based on the Basic Regulation and its Implementing Rules. The AM Seminar will continue to be conducted over 2 days while the (NP) workshops will have the duration of 3 days. The courses will be addressed as “EASA Air Operations Management Team” seminars and workshops. They will target AMs, NPs and other heads of functional areas such as the Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM), Safety Managers, Financial Managers, Sales and Marketing and other key staff.

This course will now be replaced with the new EASA Air Operations Management Team Workshop – Flight Operations

An industry specific two-day programme specifically designed for nominated or designated postholder Flight Operations (HEL) of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holder under JAR-OPS 3.

Safety and quality delivery in an AOC holder's Flight operations requires fully effective processes. The Postholder Flight Operations is responsible for a wide range of safety critical processes.

This course aims to provide case-based training in management approaches and management techniques to facilitate a fully effective Flight operations and supporting the achievement of operational and business objectives.

The course is highly participative, and promotes practices that have become the benchmark in the industry.

Aviation Authorities have started interviewing Form 4 candidates. This course serves as preparation for the authority interview.

Postholder Flight Operations will be provided a first-hand update of regulatory and industry development. Postholders are invited to exchange experiences among peers in a confidential environment.

Pre-requisites

Essential:

Previous experience in the function of Postholder Flight Operations is not required, but an added value. However, comprehensive knowledge of JAR-OPS and other applicable regulations is required.

This highly interactive course requires participants motivated to prepare for the task of Postholder Flight Operations or to deepen one's understanding of the task.
